1. As soon as the course began, I started working diligently. I knew that doing the work was going to get progressively harder especially as other classes began to pile on work. I spent the first two weeks of class trying to get as far ahead as possible, aiming at least for being past my first exams for my three other classes. Working as if all my assignments are due asap is a behavior that I, although don’t necessarily enjoy, am happy that I possess.
2. Having to do the assignment concerning the autobiographies really scared me honestly. I really don’t like reading and am more of a hands-on/numbers kind of guy. However, I know that Professor Pryor assigned it for a reason, and to expose us to entrepreneurship outside of the classroom. This hasn’t necessarily created tenacity but has fostered a new outlook on the way I perceive the challenges I face.
3. Three tips I would give to a student taking this class next semester is (1) get as much done as you can as early as you can, (2) start reading the book as soon as you find out about the assignment (especially if you don’t like reading), and (3) take the time to understand what Professor Pryor is trying to instill in you, and make use of what you learn (it could make you very wealthy).

Max,
ReplyDeleteI strongly agree with your tip regarding making use of what you learn because many times students try to take the easy way out with assignments and don't put in their full effort when it can positively affect their future. Also, getting ahead in this class is crucial to your success in it because that way you won't be caught off guard with a long assigment the day before it's due.
Max,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you tips 100 percent. The most important part of this class is to be on top of all of your work so not only do you not miss any assignments but you also are able to focus on your other major classes you might be taking this semester. I also agree with your statement of the work progressively getting harder and harder. This class has really helped me learn the beginning steps in becoming an entreprenaur.
Max,
ReplyDeleteI am similar to you in the way I prefer to work ahead and get things done sooner rather than cram everything in to one day. I also like feeling less stressed knowing I am ahead of the game. I also dislike reading the textbooks more than anything I can think of. I simply do not process or retain the information well just by reading over the textbook. When the reading is required, it is vital for me to start early and get ahead of the reading before it is due. Also, nice image choice.
